My latest Adamts13 result has come back at 97. It's just a tad lower than the previous test and nothing to worry about. Of course, I don't know if its just a small fall or a bounce but it's probably best not to over think this. It's best just to be thankful ❤️.
We've been away for a week, visiting younger family members. Always a joy, hard work, but fun and we both come home with smiles on our faces and happy memories 😊. It was a treat and we look forward to going again soon.
In the meantime, our garden has gone wild. No Mow May may be a real thing, but living just below fields grazed by sheep means a constant supply of seeds in the wind. It's not just the lawn that is blooming wild, but flower beds and pots too!
In an effort to get things just a little under control the lawn has been divided into two parts; mown and non mown. With the fields and with half no mown, we hope it's a happy medium. Maybe it's better to have an area that we can leave unmown all year, rather than the whole lawn for a limited time.
No Mow May, we’ve left a strip unmown at the bottom of the garden.
I've taken a few pics on my phone. I keep saying I should get my proper camera charged but haven't really felt the compunction to actually take it to a socket. Time to get to it. My next garden post photos will be from my camera!
This rhododendron is considered a weed here on Exmoor but is still beautiful. It has flowered each year since we moved to this house. It’s complete with bind weed at the moment 🤦♀️
The Jungle still needs taming!
This Acer was in a pot for several years, big mistake. It has really taken off in the ground. The lilac just beyond has finished flowering.
This pink rhododendron was planted in memory of Malo, a beautiful cat, taken too soon. ❤️
Raspberries are taking off, if you’re lucky enough to have a space then give them a go. Fresh raspberries with breakfast are such a treat.
Sweet peas will fill the air with fragrance 🥰
Globe artichokes, they grow much taller than I expected!
This rhododendron has been moved, hacked and broken over the years but is recovering at last.
This hydrangea is one of my favourites. It hides the compost bin and changes colour throughout the season.
Our white Clematis, we share this one from our side, giving privacy at the top of the garden, and a mass of flowers.
A Pineapple Lily, given by a friend years ago. It’s been split several times and shared.
My new hoard of trailing plants ready to pot.
Lavender and Japanese Anemones, my absolute favourite.
A Trompe l’oeil, made with an old mirror and frame.
A climbing rose, making its way along the fence behind the pond.
Gardening, so therapeutic. It’s not something that everyone shares and it can take a while to find the bug, but when you do ….
Happy May everyone ❤️
